Faith PR is a proud member of the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice 99ers club – an initiative set up by the hospice in which local businesses pledge a donation.

In return for these corporate donations, Forget Me Not 99ers are invited to quarterly networking events hosted by one of the 99ers of 99p a day to the hospice, while networking with like-minded businesses.

On Thursday  25th June, we were delighted to be one of these hosts together with our neighbours Sleigh & Story. Furthermore, our landlord, Henderson Property is also a 99er, with the two other businesses in the building, making Thornhill Brigg Mills more than a fitting location!

The event saw over 25 99ers come together to network and listen to a series of short presentations by the hosts. This involved the attendees indulging in some delicious breakfast tarts and pastries provided by The Cooking Cottage. Members were welcomed by Peter Sleigh, founder of Sleigh & Story, who handed over to Peter Branson, Forget Me Not’s Chief Executive, who then talked about the work the hospice is doing. This was followed by a short presentation by Carl Hopkins, Director of faith, who then went on to share some of the history of Thornhill Brigg Mills and its recent renovation work undertaken by Henderson Property.

Delegates were also given a sneak preview of the building and its next development – the Big Shots Café, which will cater to the businesses in the surrounding area and is due to open in August.
